Travelling to the match

A very satisfying journey out of Manchester today. The route took us past Old Trafford where, a couple of hours after we passed, Manchester United were due to play Manchester City. There were large numbers of United fans from their traditional homes - in Ireland, Yorkshire, Devon, Norway and Russia. This jolly group were chugging towards the stadium in an overcrowded boat.  I was wearing a sky blue fleece as I took their photograph.  As we passed, one of them was heard to say "he's a City fan - sink him!"

City won 2-1.
