Braemar Gathering

Our first visit to the Braemar gathering ,.
We stayed with friends in the village and made a weekend of it . I've been to a few Highland Games ( Aboyne and Aberdeen ) but this was in a different league . Really enjoyed it and thankfully the rain stayed off for most of the day . There was a bit of a lull in the afternoon when an old couple appeared from a nearby castle but apart from that - a great day out and thoroughly recommended .
