Gerhard 50th.

Posting this in 2016 - Gerhard is Angie's sister's (Siglinde) husband.

Two days before Gerhard reached the half way point. This afternoon, evening and night was the party at Geisenfeld, north of Munich in the heart of the hop country.

Although he has spent much of his time living and working in Munich, he moved back to live in Geisenfeld in the 90's and is a very active citizen for the town, including getting involved in the towns sporting facilities. Gerhard is one of those people who always has time for others, helping out, usually unasked, regardless of his personal priorities.

A few years later he was to suffer great physical problems after a horrific, life threatening accident in which he lay in a coma for months. Despite this he still is just as quick to jump in to help out. A great example for us all.

As always when Gerhard organises anything the evening was a great success, very liquid and too much food.
