Cowichan Bay mural

A had a "day off" today. Caught the early morning ferry to Nanaimo from Vancouver and then drove an hour or so down the Island to Cowichan Bay. Spent a glorious couple of hours wandering the docks and taking photos and enjoying the sun and then continued on the visit a friend nearby. Her husband left this week to walk in Wales for 2 weeks. She will meet him in London England at the end of September and they will head off on a 7 week trip to Africa in early October. A bucket list trip for her 65th. We had wonderful girls evening, cooking a marvellous dinner, eating it over 4 hours, chatting til the wee hours. A real treat. Girl time.
