Time for an excursion!
Jeff, Julie and Kyle decided to give it a miss, but the rest of us were dropped off at the entrance to the Gap of Dunloe. Rather than walking we took two Horse and Traps through the Gap of Dunloe. It's a good job as there is no way we could have walked it. We were told it was seven miles but i think it may have been Irish miles, which as explained by an Irish man is "a mile and a bit and the bit may be more than a mile!". We then stopped off at Lord Brandon's Cottage for tea and cake before getting on a boat which took us through the lakes, under the wishing bridge (Brickeen Bridge) and into Ross Bay where we got off and had a look around Ross Castle. It was such a good day and only rained very briefly. We got dropped back in Killarney and had a walk back to the hotel via the icecream shop.
A bit of a rest before heading back out for dinner, more drinks and live music. Going to need a serious detox after this holiday!
