15 years.

It was a day you never forget.  Like the assassination of JFK, you will always remember where you were, what you were doing or how you got the news.

The events of the day killed over 3,000 Americans (and others). More people died on US soil during this attack since the Battle at Antietam during the Civil War, between Sept 13-17, 1862.  Four thousand died on that battlefield.
