Late summer Sunday

Still clouds from the night rain in the morning. We did not have the patience to wait until they were burnt away by the sun, because by then the next rain clouds might have been grown into sky already. So we left early for the lower parts of Switzerland - the Zurich area - where it was still 26C, a beautiful late summer day. We stopped in between to buy some regional sausage delicacies from Glarus for the BBQ later tonight.

For the first time we went jogging early afternoon in the forest high above Zurich City (Dolder area) and used the Helsana App (a health insurance company which maintains more than hundred running and walking trails in Switzerland) to guide us through the forest and to record our 8 km route. As planned we then went straight to the Fohrbach 50m outdoor swimming pool, got changed and swam 1km. Probably the last time this year. Really enjoyed the sun on the skin so late in summer and good workout all together.

Back home BBQ on terrace at 5pm. Finnish sinappi with the makkaras from Glarus and tomato salad with onions. Carmigniano keeps us company for two full hours of slow sunset. Tomorrow will be a special Monday (positive) as it is half a bank holiday in Zurich which makes Sunday eve even nicer.
