A model car

Just back from Suffolk where I have been visiting my mum. In a different home to previous occasions and this one is clean, modern and on first impression very welcoming. Mum was ok, a little grumpy, which is a sign she is improving but she has been through the mill again so needs to take her time building up her energy and resilience.

It's a long day for me and what turned into six hours driving with a traffic jam on way home leaves me somewhat jaded. To keep me company was able to audio read one of the Man Booker books and by the announcement of the short list on Tuesday i will have read 7 of the 13. Of course if none of them make the shortlist I will have six weeks to read the other six! Still it's fun.
