"Tenterfield"

Originally the old nurses accommodation of the neighbouring hospital (knocked down and rebuilt as a nursing home many years ago), it's now being redeveloped into housing following some difficulties with planning and existing covenants. It has a magnificent sweeping oak staircase inside but the building itself is in pretty bad shape. The building was surrounded by old trees, some of which have been taken down, meaning that we now have a view of the building even when the leaves are on the existing trees. The 1950s extension has already been demolished. Usually we just have a view of it in winter when the trees are bare. We will be able to watch progress.
