Bee & Lavender

Finished my run of shifts this morning and have a few days of now. Driving home from the hospital this morning was challenging as it was the Great North Run and as the hospital is just a few hundred yards from the start line there were crowds of runners walking down the roads to congregate at the start. In fact many of the runners were gathering in the various cafes in the hospital itself to fuel up before the start.  I should have taken some time to go out among the crowds with my camera but I was completely exhausted after a very busy night and could only think of my bed!  Hence a shot of a bee in the lavender in the evening sun.
