Old haunts

We are touring in an area of France that we haven't properly explored since our early adventures here in the mid 80s.  A lot has changed.  There is more commercialisation and there are many more people enjoying the place.  But the essential beauty of the Dordogne and Lot et Garonne remains unaffected.  The towns and villages still look as if they rose up out of the earth fully formed and the slow way of enjoying daily life still goes on. We drove up through St Leon sur Vezere (pic) today and dined this evening back in Monpazier.  We had a lovely meal, but we had foie gras two ways to start (lovely) and Boeuf Rossini to follow (which we forgot comes served foie gras on the top).  We are probably a little over the daily limit for saturated fat!!
