Love it..

the light through the trees .. l mean.

Had a lovely quiet sunday.. it started with a visit to a friend of mine who is restoring a picture for me.. it was fascinating to see the progress as she lifts back some rather gruesome overpainting from the past. Clearly the painting has been badly damaged way back and has been repaired rather inexpertly but for the time it was done that is not unusual. So l am excited to get it back soon and will have to sort out a nice spot to hang it with some good lighting to show it off !
The sun shone so everything seemed wonderful compared to yesterday.. a lovely walk to pick brambles and home made wheat free cake.. the best l have ever made.. it is 9 months now since l gave up eating wheat and l feel fantastic so it is now going to be a feature to my life.. sorry to all those who will find it annoying on my behalf but to be free of headaches and stomach pain is too wonderful !!  So the one thing l have missed on occasions is a good old victoria sponge and someone gave me a recipe today so we had some cake with home made strawb jam... sensational !! l am going to freeze half of it for another day and be strong willed!!
