Extra Photo: Monarch Watch. A butterfly tagged by a Monarch Watch volunteer was observed this afternoon. The tag is a 9 mm all weather round piece of polypropylene placed on the discal cell of the monarch. This placement is better for the butterfly as it's closer to the center of gravity/lift than the old wing edge tagging method. Am sending sighting info to KU.edu.
