Nature Reserve management
There are many ways to inhibit the growth and spread of bracken. One is to simply get down and "pull it" which is what I spent most of today doing.
Another Nature Reserve management "tool" is to introduce cattle onto the land.
Today they came to say "Hello" to us and then went away again. It is unfortunate for us that cattle do not eat much bracken - they must know it is poisonous to them.
Well, this was a nice interlude during a very satisfying day - which was nice and warm and sunny. At last.
