Afternoon Tea
We were on the road early and stopped at the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Mass. We had been there before but they have since built a new building and there have been a few years more inductees. After lunch we drove on to Hudson, NY and visited the home of Frederick Church, an American Painter of the Hudson River School of Painting, a mid-19th century American art movement embodied by a group of landscape painters. Apparently he made a very good living from his landscapes and built an incredible home, called Olana, at the top of a hill that overlooks the Hudson Valley. We toured the home and gardens. I especially liked this scene in the parlor with the afternoon sun coming in, as seen by the Lensbaby. I have loaded an extra of the view from the verandas and a shot of the house.
