White Faced Heron.....fishing
A native, self introduced, it started breeding here in the 1940s.
They are abundant throughout the country, stealthily moving through shallow waters, darting forward their dagger like bill and extending their neck to catch fish, frogs, insects and spiders.....(.as it was doing when I snapped it at the estuary this morning from my car with the 300 lens!)
Another very, warm sunny day, we are gardening and planting for summer
