Roo at Carew

It's been a day of exploring today, I love castles I'm lucky enough to live very close to Warwick one of the best intact castles in England.

This afternoon we visited Pembroke Castle, not all ruins but mainly it was the birth place of Henry V11 set with a moat around it. It's been used in many film sets, including Prince Caspian, the chronicles of Narnia and most recently Me before You.

But the morning was spent looking round Carew Castle, you drive around a corner and your met with a beautiful sight, set on a river a romantic ruin with just bats, barn owls and the odd tourist and Roo.
Just a short walk up the river is a tidal mill that you can also visit.
