Rio Formosa park

Lagoons and salt marshes, dense maquis and big skies. This is the Eastern Algarve: a complete contrast from the Alentjo coast. We walked around the Parque Natural da Rio Formosa - the tide mill there. looks very tranquil. We even saw some early flamingoes!
