Gerald's Tree

This tree was an inspiration for Georgia O'Keeffe's "Gerald's Tree". She painted this tree when Gerald Heard visited Ghost Ranch during 1937. The oil painting currently hangs in the Georgia O'Keeffe museum at Santa Fe. Chimney Rock is in the background.
