Those who say there's no such thing as a free lunch are not quite correct.
This building was built for Refuge Assurance in the cotton heydays. It was converted to a hotel in the sixties, but had become tired and shabby. New owners have spent £30million on it and we had free lunch today so the staff can practice. Very nice it was too. Fab building.

I like the 'horse turntable' in reception, where the coaches used to turn around.
