Returned home from the library this morning just in the nick of time! As I walked up the drive, the first raindrop fell from a leaden black sky, quickly followed by thunder and lightening!! And those thundery downpours have continued throughout this sticky muggy day, no hot sunshine for us...

Whilst in Chew Magna this afternoon, a friend and I got caught in one of those downpours and had to seek shelter under this ancient yew tree in the churchyard. Thankfully the rain eased off and we made it to our favourite cafe for a long-overdue catch up on each other's news over a cuppa...
