After the storm
"I don't know what they pay them for"
grumbled the woman on the bus as we discussed today's weather forecast. Tuesday had not been the hottest day of summer for us: we had torrential rain, and thunder and lightning more or less overhead.
Fortunately, our router was not fried by lightning a second time! I took the lazy route home and went back to bed for a snooze, because I had gone to bed too late the previous night. When I woke, Steve told me I had slept through a second thunderstorm. Two in an afternoon?
Got up and made bread, and onion soup, and fed Bomble, and next door's cats, and made a training video: awful! There seems to be too much to do, always. Soon it will be time to get ready for bed, and change clothes which are covered in a mysterious pink nursery substance. I am thinking about getting my teach yourself Polish course out again, as we have some non-English speakers again in nursery this year.
