Parque Inhotim Brumadinho
This day I thought I had seen it all, this day I thought I can die in peace because I have seen the world. An outdoor art museum, how neat! This day I learned the the Brazilian people love their land, God gave them this beautiful country with gorgeous sceneries, millions of exotic plants and animals and since that day they have cherished each inch of their land.
This was an eye-opener to me, I saw what what is to learn about your home and actually know what your home truly is. Throughout my experience at the Parque Inhotim Brumadinho, I challenged my self to ask every person (that worked there) out of this world questions, thinking that they might not be able to answer them. But I was wrong, every golf cart driver, every person at the exhibits had an answer to my absurd questions. Of course, their initial thought was probably "what is wrong with her" with a discombobulated look on their face. But they answered, with knowledge and precise detail. One of my questions was "What is this tree called and where does it usually grow?" The young lady that answered my question said "This is a ______ tree (I'll be honest, I forgot the name)." She told me how tall the trees grow, when they are best to harvest for herbs (for traditional Brazilian medications), she also mentioned what regions of Brazil have the largest amount of these trees. I was astonished, because she knew, she knew her land as well as he knew the palm of her hand. That to me was impressive and admirable. A person who knows beyond what is expected of them is a respectable person.
Throughout my time here, I realized that all the youth that worked or was attending on a field trip or exhibition was all very interested to know not only about what their country produces, but what their soil has to offer. Each and every person that I interacted with on this day was fascinated by their land, astonished by the large mountains that surrounded them and they were all more than grateful to say that they come from a country that protects and is proud of their flora/fauna.
Not only was the artwork outstanding, but the meaning behind each and everyone art piece that I saw had something to do with the nature of Brazil, from the drugs created from man destroying nature. The fact that many of these artists have used their talent to endorse more love for nature is amazing, these artists have shown not only me but many people that it is important to treat our planet right, not just in Brazil but throughout the world.
