I am here to participate in a National Strategic Conference on a topic very close to my heart - "parental engagement in children's learning".

The programme for the day is full of opportunities to listen, discuss, network and work with parents, parental organisation representatives and Government staff on this important aspect of education.

Most of all, I want to pick up good practice and learn all I can.

I think this is going to be a good day.
