Upstairs

A trip into Edinburgh for lunch with old friends.  Joyce was hosting in her new home which has some glorious views over the Forth.  Though not today.  Edinburgh was drizzly and misty.

Her new home is out at Cramond, one of the more desirable parts of the city.  In fact, the view from her balcony was restricted today to some £1m+ houses which she overlooks.  For the bus trip from the centre to Cramiond, it was upstairs so that I could have glimpses of the upmarket houses, their well manicured gardens and their top of the range cars on my travels.  Shameful.  But interesting.

I also went upstairs on the way back.  Edinburgh buses have CCTV so you can watch fellow passengers.  Except this one didn't.  It spent the whole journey trying to initialise and trying unsuccessfully getting rid of FAT errors.  Then back to initialisation.  I smiled.
