A few minutes....
..... quiet time after school. We don't normally have school day screen time but today just seemed to need it. She got up at 6.15 and ran straight to the new clarinet. We have a "no music before 7am" rule but I let her ignore that one today. She was too excited not to. She ran the two kilometres to school today, at what seemed like a very gentle pace. She did it in 11minutes, which wasn't too shoddy at all!
She was hot and hungry when I met her at the gate. She'd had a fall out with a friend (because she'd tried to go for a few minutes peace on her own, she said, and her friend didn't like it). So at home, I made her tea & we sat watching a bit of a movie.
Swimming tonight. She decided because it was hot she would just wear her swimsuit to walk there. On the way at every grass verge, she cartwheeled as normal. I could see her trying to brave doing a one handed cartwheel. She was so nearly there. In the end I suggested she hold her swimsuit strap. And it worked! She was so pleased with her little self. Many one handed cartwheels before swimming (and after, in the sunset). She passed silver grade of Aqua Skills today- some interesting syncro, surfing, diving, water polo and life preservation skills this set.
Today was definitely a "home and straight to bed" day!
