I don't know how, but it really doesn't matter.

After being outshot by 25-4 and surviving umpteen shots careening off the post and crossbar, the Canadian womens team won the Bronze by beating France through a goal by Diana Matheson in the last minute of stoppage time.

Perhaps it's karma after undeservedly losing to the US a day or so ago, but the whole country is delighted beyond words.

It's Canada's first medal in traditional team sports since 1936. And as they say,....It ain't over.....
