Anyone for wine?
We've walked around King's Somborne today. The walk started at the point where the original Roman road from Winchester to Old Sarum crossed the River Test.
King's Somborne takes its name from where the 'som' (swine) drank at or crossed the 'borne' (stream), with the royal connection dating back at least to Saxon times.
The walk took us past this vineyard.
We walked for about 6 miles and towards the end of the walk Murphy lay down for a rest so I carried him for a while until he could carry on.
We finished the walk with a drink in a local pub.
A good day
