Hampton Court Castle

“Sometimes our light goes out but is blown again into flame by another human being. Each of us owes deepest thanks
to those who have rekindled this inner light.”
Albert Schweitzer

Today is a bit of a Mystery Tour for K.  Big birthday on Monday so start the weekend with a day out, but I don't tell her where.  Back in June we had our first ever helicopter flight over Herefordshire, and saw Hampton Court Castle below, so I decided that would be the destination for today.  Until last year the only Hampton Court I knew of was near London.

Beautiful day with plenty of sunshine and some clouds to give the sky interest for us photographers.  Nearly missed the guided tour when I misunderstood where to meet, had to leg it through the grounds and follow the disembodied voice of the guide to catch up with the tour.

Lunch on the terrace was good too, freshly prepared food well presented and served by very friendly staff.  Recommend this place for a visit.  Enough for a day visit for gardeners, historians and families with kids too - the kids found their way to the tower at the centre of the maze and were shouting instructions to their parents to guide them through.  I had K to guide me.
