A sultry day

Very hot and quite humid - storms are forecast for later.

I thought that, if anything will, the sunshine and temperatures will bring the ladybirds out.  I'm still scarcely seeing any in my garden (except when I tidy the beds and disturb them from under their hiding places) but I suspected the ones on the concrete wall of the local cemetery might be out.

They were indeed. Out in force - but hardly any of our traditional English ladybirds. The others were all shapes and sizes.
