Spontaneity

Went on my usual run up the hill this morning to find three classes from the local primary school making the most of the gorgeous weather and enjoying a spontaneous "Wandertag" (hiking day).

Not sure this would happen in Scotland. Before I'd even left school managers and health and safety meant you had to plan everything months in advance and to the minutest detail.

Do they not have H&S in German schools?!??

Was nice to see the kids being allowed to enjoy themselves.
