Caledonian Pine Forest

A glorious morning, misty and moisty with spiders webs covering the Juniper scrub, then burning back to a hot, sunny day. The mossy lochan under the tree was covered with Black Darters and Common Hawkers, all busy feeding, mating and laying. A Peacock butterfly landed on the track. As I returned, a few folk were just appearing, having missed the best of the day!
Stayed very hot all day!
