A Glimpse of the Sun
We're having the strangest weather. Yesterday evening, not long after returning from my walk, when there was barely a breath of wind to be felt, I heard strange noises outside. It turned out to be huge gusts of wind rustling the leaves on the trees. It arrived from nowhere. A few minutes later a flash of intense light signalled the beginning of a massive electrical storm.
Today the cloud, which was promised to clear, never did, only giving a rare glimpse of the sun, a real tease to be honest. Some parts of the country enjoyed sweltering sunshine all day. Others were stuck under a band of rain. September is supposed to bring gentle rather than dramatic weather. I'm finding it all rather unsettling. Didn't get much of a glimpse of any internal sunshine today either. At least I timed a walk on the moor in the late afternoon to perfection. I'll take this from an otherwise zero of a day.
