Kosmos Cinema
Local history research reveals that the reason this bay window has been preserved and is out of place in the line of flat square windows either side - is because from 1914 to the 1960s the building was a cinema.
This weblink shows a photo of the outside of the Kosmos cinema just before it closed showing the bay window. And this shot shows the inside. Anyone who knows Tunbridge Wells will know that another town centre cinema was closed about 15 years ago and the site has remained empty, subject to planning arguments ever since. At least Kosmos became a shop but although it would be great if it was still a cinema
