Are you smiling at me?

This fat spider is living right next to my front door.  I have left  "La Spider" all summer long feeding there, as the area is rich with insects.  You can see remains of bugs in the web.  Even though this is a very large spider, it is very friendly and benign, they don't bite or sting.  
     I love the smile on the front of the head!
