Ul-no!

The mums at Alices football team have started a fitness come football training thing which Clare went along to. On pretty much her first touch of a ball she slipped and fell, putting out her arm to save herself. Everyone heard the crack and poor old Clare knew it wasn't good.
Six hours down The Whitechapel established she had "an impressive break" to her wrist. Lots of gas and air and a local anaesthetic were needed to try and reset it, but the break to the end of her ulna was too bad and on friday she'll have to go in for an operation.
Don't tell anyone but while the staff were out of the room I helped myself to a few good old lungs full of the gas and air. Purely to relieve the boredom of waiting for consultants at one in the morning. Very nice it was too.
