Not a Rafter of Turkeys

A group of domestic turkeys is a rafter. The group in the wild is simply a flock. They were on the move, foraging on a hillside with a fantastic view of Monterey Bay. I was with a small hiking group, trekking through the oaks to burst into this same meadow, thrilled to be able to see forever on this bright clear day.
