...and the winner is...

my Aunty May!
We went to Moby's Pub for supper on the last night that our relatives from back east were with us.   We played games of Classic Song Bingo, with the names of songs on the paper bingo cards, and after listening to about 30 seconds of the song, we had to identify it and dab the title if we had it.  After each game, which included winners who got one line, then two, three and four lines, we were to put our names on the back of the bingo cards and crumple them up.  One of the servers (who just happened to be ours) came around with a box and collected them after each game.  When it came time to draw for the big prize, the pub owner stood on the stage and our server stood in front of him.  He turned the box over and the crumpled cards fell over her head.  Whichever one she caught would have the name of the winner.  She passed it to the owner, and he announced, “And the winner is…MAY D!”  Aunty May threw her hands up in the air and shouted, “That’s me!!”   We all burst out laughing and couldn’t stop, and I still laugh every time I think of it.   So Aunty May won 8 nights accommodation in Mexico!  What a hoot!
