York Minster

Took four photos stitched together (rather inelegantly too I might add) to capture the grander inside the York Minster, more officially known as the Cathedral and Metropolitical Church of Saint Peter in York. Home to the Archbishop of York, the second highest office in the Church of England, it is a building of grand scale. The largest Gothic cathedral in Northern Europe is breathtaking to say the least. We paid the extra five pounds for a 275-step trip to the top of the tower for an expansive 360º view of York and the surrounding countryside. Amazing! Heading out this evening for Portugal. Will be sorry to say good bye to our friends, but looking forward to some time on the beach.
