Nearly there

Tonight we are staying in La Jonquera in Spain. Just few kilometers from the French border.

Our morning started in rainy France. It rained about 300-400 kilometers and then the sunshine started. We saw thunder and impressive cloud formations. We've spent the whole day on motorway driving nearly 900 kilometers. We're also spending tonight on a motorway hotel. There's nothing much to see or walk to. The outlet are is on the other side of the motorway and we can't access it with car. We could drive 16km south and then come back and that way we could reach it. And to get back to hotel we should drive bit north to coma back. Strange. We tried to walk there. It could be done. It's just that the Spanish don't believe in sidewalks, so we had to walk next to the car lane while the cars are passing us in high speed (speeding). We got as far as the nearest roundabout. But the traffic was heavy in high speed with no safe crossings for pedestrians. So we decided that it's not worth to risk these lives we have. We'll rather continue our journey.

So one more day left of our road trip if all goes well. It feels like a wonderful idea to stay somewhere for a while. And not having to live out of bags and not having to carry loads of stuff around.
