My exhibit opens tonight
From the Hanover Historical Society September newsletter...
"On display at the Stetson House, 2-4 pm on Saturdays, September 17, September 24, & October 1, 2016
This exhibit combines the artwork of local resident Betsey Josselyn and the photographic collections of the Hanover Historical Society. A series of twenty paintings by Josselyn will be on display throughout the historic 300-year Stetson House. These diminutive paintings are all scenes of the local landscape in Hanover. They bring the natural, familiar landscape of places like the North River and Forge Pond into new perspective. Paired with each painting will be photographs drawn from the Hanover Historical Society’s collections. The historic photographs, pieces of artwork themselves, will complement the paintings, documenting how much Hanover has changed, or sometimes stayed the same, over the past century and a half. This exhibit is designed to foster an appreciation for the distinctive character of Hanover through historic photographs and contemporary artwork.
Courtesy of the artist, select paintings will be available for sale to benefit Hanover Historical Society programs."
For the Record,
This day came in cool, sunny and dry. The Swedes and BB have gone to Boston for the day. I'm resting and preparing for the opening tonight.
All hands healthy
