It is Friday

Last night it was "Hope Springs Eternal"  with Bruce Caraffin (reeds), Allan Beecham ( trumpet & melaphonium), Mo Witham and Roger Middleton (guitars), Dave Hillman (bass) and Joanne Clayton Brown (vocals).
And I sketched the fronting "winds", Bruce and Alan.  A great night that included lots of old favourites such as Summertime, Sweet Georgia Brown, Gerogia etc as well as some adventurous new ones.
And ab explanation of the bands name - they regularly play in the Hope and Anchor in Ulverston but how you get from that to the name still requires some imagination!
