Ray of sunshine

It's rained all day today.  Now, I know I said we needed some rain, our garden is very dry and our pond very low - but ..... why did it have to choose my ONLY day off this week?

Several days ago, I blipped a wilting gladiolus.  When we went to the supermarket the following evening, after our dinner of salad and wine (for me only), it was so hot at 10pm that many of the customers were in shorts.  We bought flowers to replace the gladioli, and I chose sunflowers.  They make a lovely bright spot in our hall today.
