Aira Force

After an impromptu Blipmeet with Clickychick and Tryfan46 this morning, we took the road down the side of Ullswater.  We intended to visit Pooley Bridge but it seemed like the world and his wife were there so we carried on.  We had a little stroll by the side of the lake but no decent shots were achieved - I really found the light levels incredibly difficult and it shows in the results!  Then we went a little further on and found a parking space at the Aira Falls Car Park.  The water fall was beautiful and although I have some totally duff shots, I did manage one or two I was more pleased with.  Maybe I'm trying to play with too many settings at once...  I liked this image because it caught the light and dark quite effectively I think.
 
We then drove on over the Kirkstone Pass and down to Troutbeck and our accommodation for a couple of nights.  The back up to Keswick for a lovely Blipmeet and dinner with Trev, Ros and Chloe.  Time to catch up on what's been going on, then back down the edge of Thirlmere, Grasmere and Windermere to sort out this Blip!
 

Another Blipmeet tomorrow.  Looking forward to meeting Rainie and also some Lake District Blippers I haven't met before.
