The freshmen

Today has been a very enjoyable day.

Got the Audi packed to the brim with Jon's stuff and headed out from Bromley ahead of schedule.

David recommended we drive through London to get to Slough to meet friends John and Marilyn. It was so much fun driving through London and then the A4 on to the M4. Even got to put my foot down for a few miles and just enjoy the car gliding, smooth as silk.

After our visit, we headed on to the M40 for the final leg of our journey to Oxford. The sun broke through the clouds and the blue sky with fluffy clouds and green pastures made for a very picturesque drive indeed.

So we are here in 'colder' Oxford and excited about check in at uni tomorrow.

There are a few of Jon and Ben's friends who are also starting at Brookes and some of us met up for dinner. Arrangements had been made way back in Hong Kong at this Caribbean restaurant, rated very highly on Trip Advisor, and it did not disappoint. Here's our Hong Kong contingency. These kids have known each other over 10 yrs!!!

Long but enjoyable day. Really wish Martin could enjoy all this with us.
