A compilation of.....

....today!  R has been cutting some wood that he was given by a farmer friend of ours.  It had been felled from a hedge.  It has been a bit of a mammoth task but he's nearing the end now.  They want to get on and plough the field!  A lot of work but almost a trailer load of wood which will keep us going for a while. 

 I tried to give an idea of the scale of the whole thing.  The central top one looks right out over the channel to Wales and you can just see the trailer parked in another field. The bottom on was what we woke up to this morning and it really was that glorious colour.  Didn't last long as it clouded over a bit.  However, it's cheered up, great day and I did another walk back from the fields!!  Hurrah!  

The extra is a bunch of zinnias that a friend gave me this morning.  Colours like this just lift one's heart!
