Red door

A mini adventure this morning with my friend P. Fortified with coffee we went off to visit G, up in the hills above Durrus and to inspect the old buildings on his farm. G was most welcoming and what amazing views from up here, some fine old buildings, a lot of mud and many free range beasts.

Another chance encounter this afternoon when a couple arrived down our boreen in search of information a ringfort.Our names had come up in the pub as people who might know where to find a ringfort or two. We did and armed with maps showed them where to go.They had a drone with them and wanted to take some aerial photos. Something to do with Eddie Lenihan but I can't remember what!

It is technically Kitchen Cove day and I did nip down there but the old farm has won out. A man was doing something in a dingy and the gulls were gathering. All rather grey down there today.
