Champagne brunch

While torrential rain was falling outside, I together with 300 other women, enjoyed a champagne brunch and wonderful entertainment at the annual Hospice fundraiser.
I won a prize in the lucky draw - a book and bottle of red wine, so it was a good day.
The comedian had us in fits of laughter, the mother of Reeva Steenkamp ( who was shot by Oscar Pistorius) was the guest speaker - a sobering moment, and meeting up with friends I hadn't seen in ages made for a most enjoyable day.
At home hubby mourned the woeful play of our Springboks who were thrashed by the All Blacks!!
