Plane On Fire ...
1916-2016 Schiphol Amsterdam Airport. Schiphol Airport exists 100 years. Which is celebrated extensively this year. Super Neighbours Days, exhibitions, a unique tulip and stamp. "And of course with a bang and inciting staff party," according to Jos Nijhuis, President & CEO Royal Schiphol Group.
We were invited by a cousin who works at the air traffic control at Schiphol and experienced a fantastic day. Highlights included the de-icing of aircraft by very special vehicles from Sweden and the dedemostratie of firefighters while extinguishing fire in one of the engines of a training plane called FireFly.
An impression of the last activity you can see in the photo. The photo was taken with a compact camera. I opted for a black and white version because that best reflects the sinister atmosphere sensorily experienced by the viewer during the fire.
Best seen in large for viewing more details!
Thank you for visiting my journal and your kind comments, supporting stars and heart on yesterday's "Naked Lady ...". Very much appreciated!
