My dad.
I was sent this photo, taken circa 1930 -33, by my father's cousin Sheenac, on the right, who shared his childhood, much of it spent in Oban. My dad is in his kilt, his sister Mary in the middle. Behind is their granny - Granny Gordon - in her lum hat. For non-Scots, a lum is a chimney. Can't think why this fashion hasn't persisted.
My father and his sister spent most of their holidays their with their aunt. They're standing outside her house in Dalriach Park Terrace , Oban.
